Shackles
Make your selection from the different types of shackles here.
Shackles according to DIN 82101 have - due to the quality class 5 - larger dimensions and thus also a higher weight than the high-strength shackles according to DIN 13889. However, the larger sized bolts defuse the problem of the "sharp edge" especially when used with wire ropes.
The high tensile shackles in grade 8 are characterized by a compact design and a lower own weight.
Especially for use with round slings you should choose " wide body shackles ". The bracket, specially designed for round slings and grummets, protects against sharp edges.
As a special design you will find here sheet piling shackles - specially designed for setting sheet pile walls.
Please make sure to choose a sufficiently sized bolt diameter, so that your shackle does not become a sharp edge for the sling.
